Weekend fun

This past Sunday, we traveled down to South Carolina to spend the afternoon with the Schillaci's. It was a beautiful day, almost too hot to stay outside, but I took some time to run around their new deck - it's big!

Like most places, it took me a few minutes to get used to my surroundings - well that and I napped in the car most of the ride down - but once I figured things out, I had lots of fun running all over the house.

Their D-O-G is big too. She barked a lot, but with Aunt Alicia's help, I hung out in her room and petted her a few times.

We had steaks for dinner, but for me I got to eat more corn-on-the-cob, I really like that stuff.

I napped on the ride home too which threw off my schedule, so I didn't get a lot of sleep that night (I made up for it with a long nap Monday afternoon).

Early Christmas Part 2

We are traveling up to Ohio for Christmas, so we had an early holiday celebration with the Schillaci's Sunday. I got a bunch of cool stuff, but really I was more interested in exploring Grandpa's house than anything.

We left my blocks gift there so I can play with them whenever I visit, but we brought the baseball toy home, that's pretty fun to hit with one of my growing collection of baseball bats (kiddie versions of course).

I think I got some bath towels and shoes and things like that, but that doesn't interest me like the toys - mommy and daddy were happy about that stuff, so it's all good....thank you Schillacis for all the great stuff!

We got a big day Monday as we hit the road, we'll be in Ohio all week long to see Daddy's family and Mommy's Grandpa (my Great Grandpa!), mommy said I'll get to this stuff called snow......I'm not sure I understand what that is, but it sounds cold.

To all my Jewish friends, Happy Hanukkah and to everyone else here's hoping you have a great holiday week!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a good day down here in South, hopefully all the rest of you out there had a fine day as well!

Mommy and Daddy took me down to the Schillaci's for turkey dinner that was mmm, mmm good. I even got to eat some pumpkin pie and whipped cream (thanks Daddy!).

On a downer note though, everyone thinks I got some more toofers coming in or something. I drooled 2 bibs soaking wet and have (admittedly) been a little whiny the last few days.

We'll keep an eye on it and see what happens. In the meantime enjoy all those turkey leftovers!!

Thanksgiving with the Schillaci's

Today, I made my first trip to Rock Hill, South Carolina, to visit with my Grandpa and Grandma Schillaci, Aunt Alicia and Great-Aunt Kathy. Mom and dad were talking about this day being called "Thanksgiving Day" and something about pilgrims and Indians and a great big feast of food. FOOD...that sounded good to me!!

I was able to spend time and have pictures taken with everyone as they took turns holding me. (Hopefully, I'll be able to get a copy of those pictures and add them to me scrapbook someday soon.) I'm not sure why, but whenever Grandpa Schillaci held me, I seemed to always fall asleep...he was nice and comfy. :)

I stayed pretty quiet the whole time we were there, cataloging all the sights and sounds into my database... I mean memory. I'm not old enough to sit at the big table, so mommy put me in my "flying saucer" bouncy chair and placed me near the table. Boy, did their food look good --turkey, corn, SWEET POTATOES (mommy's favorite), stuffing, pumpkin pie, etc. I made sure that as soon as mommy was done eating (and she was the last one), that I signaled to her that it was MY turn. Wow, that was a good meal.

I'm still not sure what this Thanksgiving Day is all about, except for a lot of eating, so daddy promised to tell me all about it someday soon.
