80

Well today - Monday - was my 80th week since birth! Boy that's a long time, I just wish I could remember where all that time went. I mean I'm just now starting to string 2 words together, think of how much more I need to accomplish before I reach 100 weeks!

Boy, this daylight savings time has kicked me for a loop. I'm not sleeping well at all the past few days.

But wow what a wonderful weekend we just had. On Sunday, daddy and I went down to the creek behind the house, with the snow last week (which I did not like very much at all, thank you very much), the riverbed was flooded, but by the weekend it had all dried up with the sunny warm weather.

We walked upstream and downstream (daddy taught me those words!) and watched the water flow. It looks either some beavers or trash have clogged up one part of it. It was too steep to get up close for a real inspection and daddy didn't want to get me all muddy.

Later, mommy came out onto the deck and I showed her first-hand my outdoor voice....boy am I loud sometimes!

All I have to do is dream

Boy have I been getting lots of sleep lately or what? Seems like for the past week or more, mommy brings me home from Chesterbrook, I eat some dinner and I fall asleep. Next thing I know, it's morning already!

Where does the time go?

Dreams I guess. I think I've been having some teeth dreams, maybe. Some more bottom teeth may be getting ready to poke through, but it's hard to tell.

Mostly though I think I'm dreaming about music, it seems everywhere I turn there's some music being played or something, not that I mind of course, I love to wiggle dance to really good music (see earlier post of me eating to BB King music!).

Saturday will be fun, mommy and daddy are taking me along to the band competition. I think they'll do well, they always do!

Well, back to dreamland!

Being Sick and seeing my Great Uncle

I picked up my second cold over the past weekend, but this one hasn't been so bad. I haven't been coughing near as much, but boy oh boy has the snot been flowing. I mean come on, I'm already drooling buckets, but add a runny nose on top of that and it's just not a ton of fun.

And then, tack onto that the probability that I'm into another growth spurt and, jeepers, life can be tough at times!

Well aside from that, mommy's Uncle Todd was in town earlier this week and he stopped by to see me (and our house) for the first time. I was hoping he'd bring his family along, but I guess I'll have to wait a little longer to meet his kids Camille and Delaney, and my Great Aunt Kathy.

Speaking of which, did you know my Great Grandfather is turning 80 this year?!?! That's simply amazing, I can't wait to meet him in April, his birthday is a few days after mommy's.

It was fun seeing my Great Uncle Todd, he's funny, but I hope he doesn't get stuck in the wrong restroom anymore!

Whew, it's late, time for bed.....you know yesterday, I fell asleep on the way home from day care and didn't wake up until after 7:30 and then I went to bed at 9 and didn't stir all night long.

New sleeping digs and growing

Last Sunday, mommy decided it was time to try letting me sleep in my crib in my very own room. So far so good, but it's a waaaayyy different in there with no one else around. It's so quiet and, well big!

I keep hearing mommy and daddy talking about getting me into a routine, so whatever that is, it seems to mean putting me to bed earlier, but it also means daddy's reading to me more too, which is neat. He's reading me the Harry Potter series, or at least I think he is. He says that name a lot, but it's not easy for me to follow the story - maybe because I keep falling asleep - grown-ups sure use a lot of different words.

Daddy makes me giggle a lot though and when he says "oooooo" at me, I'm trying real hard to say it back to him, but right now it mostly comes out "gggggggghhhhh".

But let me tell you this: I'm getting big! My feet seem to go halfway up daddy's ribs now and when he puts me in my car seat he comments how heavy I am whenever he picks me up.

Oh hey, I'll try to get some more updates out later this week, we're touring a day care facility on Friday.....if anyone out there can tell me what a day care facility is, let me know, it sounds fun!

12 weeks old today!!!

I celebrated turning 12-weeks old today by giving mommy 5-some hours of time without eating! She's been not feeling so well this week, so she deserved a little break I thought. Besides, it's not like they're gonna break out the champagne or anything because I turned 12, it's only a number, granted a number I can't count to just yet, but a number all the same.

Get this though, I heard mommy tell daddy that 12 weeks means I'm 84 days old (I'm guessing that's a lot of days...) which really means that my 90-day warranty is about to expire. I'm not sure what that means, so if anyone out there can help me better understand that, drop me a line will ya?

Saturday in the home

Daddy's been hanging with me most of today. This morning he was making really goofy faces at me while feeding me, so I had no choice but to make those same goofy faces right back him!

Mommy took me to the doctor yesterday because I was pretty congested. Mommy's been squirting my nose and sticking some thing in it to suck out my boogers.....not sure what I think about that.

I think that's why daddy's been keeping a close eye on me today, so that's why I rewarded him with probably my most dirty diaper yet. It was explosive, or at least that's what he said when he changed me. After that I decided to kinda take it easy on him and have been sleeping most of the day.

My First Band Competition (Part 2)

The thing is, now that I think about it, I never got to the competition! We left home to go out there, but somehow I ended up with Grandma and Grandpa Connelly.

Oh wait, that's right, they have a cabin on the lake out that way, so after all that driving which was great because it gave me some really neat dreams, I stayed there instead of seeing the bands compete.

Probably just as well as it got a little chilly this evening and I'm not sure if I'm fond of cold weather just yet.....give me a few years on that.

Grandma Connelly is fun to be around, she lets me do stuff that mom and dad don't.....well maybe. Okay, I'll retract that statement for now or at least plead the 5th Amendment for the time being, I don't want to give anyone the wrong idea or anything.

I watched a little television and thought that doctor guy on House was pretty cool, but that other show called K'ville wasn't very good at all, so I decided to go to sleep.

Sometime around 11 mom and dad showed back up. They looked happy to see me which was great because I'm always happy to see them! But then they packed me back up in my car seat which I don't always like, but I suppose it's necessary.

We got back in the car and sometime later were back home. I slept the entire trip so I missed all the sights and now since it's even later, I think I'll head back to Dreamland to chase some more rabbits!
